Umniah sponsors the Musical Night “Rija’atLayaliZaman” and supports Students from the University Student Support Fund of the Promise Welfare Society.

PRLog (Press Release) - Oct. 11, 2012 - Committing to support the youth and education in the Kingdom, Umniah announced its strategic partnership with the “Promise Welfare Society” tosupport studentsto continue their highereducation.

Under the agreement, Umniah sponsored a fundraising concert that was held on the 12th of October entitled “Rija’atLayaliZaman” which included musical performances by Dr. AymanTayseer and the Moroccan artist Kareeme Al-Saqli. All proceeds from the concert were allocated to the University Student Support Fund of Promise Welfare Society.

In addition,Umniah announced that it willsponsorfour studentsin the next two years to support them in their undergraduate studies by covering all their university expenses.

This partnership is enrichingUmniah’s portfolio of strategic partnerships through which the compamyhas provided academic scholarships on numerous occasions in the past, in addition to engaging in many initiatives that promote innovation and creativity amongst youth and young entrepreneurs.

Commenting on this partnership, Ihab Hinnawi the CEO of Umniah stated: “Our partnership with Promise Welfare Society confirms our commitment to support university students with great potential, especially the less fortunate,to help them continue their undergraduate studies”.
Hinnawi pointed out that this partnership and Umniah’s commitment to support Youth is driven by the vision to build a healthy economic and social foundation for Jordan, and to actively contribute to the development of the country which is highly dependent on its human capital.

It is well known that Promise Welfare Society, headed by her Majesty Alia Al-Taba’a, has supported 470 students since its initial launch in 1989, and it is currently supporting 77 students and aims to educate another 20 students this year.
