Hazleton Carpet Cleaning Company GM Receives Safety Training Through PENNSAFE

PRLog (Press Release) - Oct. 10, 2012 - Hazleton, PA– Drums area resident Robert G. Martin successfully completed a 2 hour Workplace Safety Committee Training course on October 10, 2012, offered by PENNSAFE through the Department of Labor & Industry.  Mr. Martin is the General Manager of Services Etcetera Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning which provides both residential and commercial cleaning services in the Berwick, Mountain Top, Hazleton and surrounding areas.

The course material included Safety Committee Dynamics, Hazard Identification and Accident(Incident) Investigation.   A new segment covering Substance Abuse was also included.   Instructors certified by the National Safety Council presented the course material and the event was hosted by Mr. Eric Hoffman from the Pa Department of L&I.

Safety committee members must meet at least once per month and are required to renew their training on a regular basis.   Safety committees must have at least 4 members and must have a balance of 2 employer and 2 employee representatives.
