St. Louis Chapter (IAAP) Presents Joseph W. Clote Award For Outstanding Support

Joseph W. Clote received Outstanding Support from the St. Louis Chapter of IAAP. The award for Outstanding Support replaced the Executive of the Year award that has been given to several Fortune 500 Executives in the St. Louis area.

Oct. 10, 2012 - PRLog -- Joseph W. Clote received the prestigious award for Outstanding Support from the St. Louis Chapter of IAAP.  Mr. Clote is Group Publisher, Missouri Meetings & Events Magazine, Web site, and Trade Shows.  Mr. Clote has extensive expertise in the travel and tourism industry in the sales and marketing arena.  He has worked with CVB’s, Destination Marketing Organizations (DMO’s), attractions, retailers and accommodations throughout the U.S. and Canada.  He has more than 20 years of hands-on marketing experience and new business development programs on the Web, in print and international trade shows.

The St. Louis Chapter selected Mr. Clote for his outstanding support in helping them with several key elements in their strategic planning and marketing strategies.  This is an opportunity to recognize a business that has provided extra support for our members, chapter, and association.

According to President C. Joyce Hawkins, “publicity is one of the most difficult areas a chapter has, especially in a large metropolitan area where competition for space is driven by the budget an organization has.   However, this has changed for our chapter in the past two years thanks to this year’s recipient.”

Mr. Clote has also served on their Executive Advisory Board since 2009.  The idea of lending his support and expertise is not foreign to Mr. Clote.  In addition to his support to St. Louis Chapter, he also serves on several other boards.  He currently is on the Advisory Board of Saint Louis University School for Professional Studies, Board President of the American Indian Enterprise & Business Council, St. Louis Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, International Special Events Society (ISES), and dozens of lodging, attraction, and chamber organizations.

The award for Outstanding Support replaced the St. Louis Chapter’s Executive of the Year award that has been given to several outstanding Fortune 500 Executives in the St. Louis area that have supported the administrative professional board of directors with their expertise on everything from how to successfully run a board to writing and administering a strategic plan.

The International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) is a 501 (c) (6) registered not-for-profit professional association for office professionals with approximately 22,000 members and affiliates and over 500 chapters worldwide. The association works in partnership with employers to promote excellence. The association is run by its members who elect leaders at the international, division, and chapter levels. The International Board of Directors establishes the direction of the association, with the day-to-day operation accomplished by an Executive Director hired by the board and necessary staff to accomplish the needs of the association.
