New science of obesity, colorectal cancer, liver disease topic of Oct. 17 talk

PRLog (Press Release) - Oct. 10, 2012 - Georgetown, S.C.   —Dr. John L. Orchard, a physician with Waccamaw Gastroenterology, will deliver a lecture titled “You and Your Gut” Wednesday, Oct. 17, in Murrells Inlet.

Orchard’s lecture, which is being hosted by Georgetown Hospital System, is scheduled for noon at Wachesaw Conference Center across from Waccamaw Community Hospital.

Among the topics that Orr will discuss are the latest science regarding obesity and weight gain, colorectal cancer screening and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.

The event will last about an hour and include opportunities for participants to ask questions. Lunch will be served. Space is limited.
