With this new release the Shipdex Data Manager becomes the ultimate interface between S1000D and the Shipdex documentation standard used by the global shipping industry.
The release consists of a comprehensive maintenance update and includes new functionality for supporting Shipdex issue 2.0 and for creating a Shipdex Data Set. The Data Set is implied by the Shipdex protocol to be used for the exchange of data and consists of the necessary data distributed among a given folder structure.
Independent of source CSDB, the CORENA Shipdex Data Manager can load an S1000D transfer package, automatically generate the folder structure and handle the distribution of files.
Also the new release of the CORENA Shipdex Data Manager provides producers of Shipdex documentation with advanced functionality for Data Module List (DML) creation. The DML is an Excel file containing two sheets: The DML sheet itself and the System Breakdown Code (SBC) sheet which will automatically be prefilled to the maximum extent possible. Any missing information can be added through the Shipdex Data Manager’s built-in SBC sheet editor.
