Launch of new website design for Go Motorsport by mso.net

Oct. 10, 2012 - PRLog -- Kent digital agency, mso.net is pleased to announce the launch of a new website for award winning MSA initiative Go Motorsport.

Go Motorsport is a one ‘pit-stop’ website set up to fast track visitors into all areas of motor sport whether as a competitor, volunteer or spectator. The site was set up to help all motorsport enthusiasts, covering the full range of experience and age groups.

Motorsport is a cutting edge industry that requires the latest technologies to progress. Go Motorsport approached mso.net in March 2012, to not only to share their passion for the sport but to gain some help and guidance updating their site. They wanted a redesign to improve the user experience, with the outcome that more people will get involved in motorsport.
   
The Brief

Fresh design was a crucial part of the brief as the existing Go Motorsport website was felt to be too content heavy appealing only to an experienced motorsport audience. Account Manager, Charlotte Bainbridge, explains “it’s hard to think of another UK industry which is as exciting and successful as Motorsport, people in every walk of life can get involved in many different ways, so we need to get this complicated message across in a thrilling way.”

The new design of the site not only captures the thrill and speed of the sport using striking images, but also has simplified the process to finding the right information relevant to the user's interests.

Go Motorsport’s new tag line ‘get revved up’ reinforces that the site is not primarily about finding the next racing champion, its key message is to encourage more people to get involved and excited about the sport locally. This is reflected in the layout of the site, with a new login/registration process that enables searches to be tailored to the user’s postcode.

The Result

The new look website has provide Go Motorsport with a contemporary design to reflect the excitement and speed surrounding the industry. More importantly the design retains Go Motorsport’s trusted brand image that has been built over the years.

We needed a fundamental reappraisal of the campaign’s online presence,” says Ben Taylor, MSA Director of Development and Communications. “MSO quickly grasped the concept and worked with us to deliver a great new site with some nice touches to make the user experience more engaging. We are delighted with the website and have further exciting plans to continue to keep the offering fresh.”
