Islamabad, being the capital city, enjoys a strong position in real estate sector. A notable increase has been observed on Zameen for searches made for properties in Islamabad, making it the second most frequently searched city, first being Lahore. During the first half of the year 2012, 2,139,005 searches were made on Zameen for Islamabad real estate. According to Data released by Zameen, Islamabad’s property is short of a little more than 73,000 searches that were made for properties in Lahore.
A little split of the data revealed that against the 352,945 visitors Zameen received for finished homes in Islamabad, 755,544 were interested in buying plots. Khan said, “The overall trend for buying plots has always existed in Pakistan real estate, showing how people are keener on investing in the capital.” He believes that property business in Pakistan is in its initial phase where profit taking in real estate dominates the construction sector.
The searches made for both homes and plots in Islamabad help Zameen pinpoint the areas that outperform the rest. The portal records a prominent difference in visitors looking up properties in Bahria Town and DHA as compared to those looking for property in E-11, G-13, and G-10. Despite the controversies associated with Bahria Town and supposed discrepancies of different DHA projects in Islamabad, buyers and investors seem to find these two locations safe for their investment.
Out of all the searches made on Zameen for Islamabad real estate, 144,092 were targeted at Bahria Town and 129,239 were meant for DHA. This data shows that publicity of these two projects is based on actual and measurable data, all thanks to Zameen!
