PRLog - Oct. 9, 2012 - NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. -- Sunshine Christian Homes Chairman and CEO Jerry Nussbaum and wife Alice recently returned from a journey to Israel where they had traveled to explore the “roots of their Christian faith.” Their journey included many of the areas where Jesus lived, walked and ministered. It also included a re-dedication baptism in the Jordan River where John the Baptist baptized Jesus.

Some of the areas visited included the Mediterranean Seaport of Jaffa, Mt. Carmel, Megiddo, the Valley of Armageddon, Nazareth Mt. Precipice, Tiberias, the Sea of Galilee, the Golan Heights, Caesarea Philippi, Yardenit, the Mount of Beatitudes, Tabgha, Capernaum, the Dead Sea, Masada, Qumran, Bethlehem, the Mount of Olives, the Garden of Gethsemane, the Garden Tomb, the Holocaust Museum, the Old City of Jerusalem including the Western (Wailing) Wall and several other historical and Biblical sites.
Nussbaum said that “this journey brought the Bible stories I have read from my childhood into reality as though I could see Jesus alive, performing the many miracles the Bible says He did, walking the rocky paths he walked and teaching as he went.”
He added that “this special adventure to the Holy Land makes our mission at Sunshine Christian Homes of providing quality care in a Christian environment ever more prominent in my mind. It is important that we care for our residents just as Jesus would.”
