Follow on Google News | New Port Richey Recreation & Aquatic Center To Host Poochie PaddleThe New Port Richey Recreation and Aquatic Center (6630 Van Buren Street) will host a truly playful event for dogs and their owners at the annual Poochie Paddle scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 4.
By: New Port Richey Recreation & Aquatic Center Dogs pay $5 each but there’s no charge for the owner. Health codes prevent owners from joining their pets in he pool, but they can watch the fun all they want. Spectators can also come on in and enjoy the furry frolic for only $1 per person. Big dogs of 19” or greater come in for a swim from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., and little dogs of less than 18” take the plunge from 2 to 3 p.m. Pets must have current tags along with proof of vaccinations; The New Port Richey Recreation and Aquatic Center, located at 6630 Van Buren Street just north of Main Street, is open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is a $14M state-of-the- available at new rates with resident discounts available.
