The evening will feature open networking along with tea, wine, sandwiches and dessert, after which Dr. Davidds will discuss how the best negotiation tools will not make women better negotiators if they lack the ability to ask for what they want. “In order for true and sustainable change to happen for women, the focus needs to begin at the source of the problem—their belief system of who they are, who they “ought” to be and who they can become,” she asserted.
Attendees will learn how to fulfill one’s potential as a business leader at the first women’s leadership forum of the 2012-2013 season where they will connect with fellow professional service providers and corporate leaders at Orange County’s premier networking organization for corporate advisors.
Melissa Pollard, vice president, Western Market, Comerica Bank and ACG-OC Women in Leadership Sponsor, commented, "Comerica Bank is proud to sponsor the Women's Initiative of ACG-OC and the networking and professional development opportunities they offer professional businesswomen in our community. At Comerica, we recognized early on the need to support our most valuable resources, our employees, and nowhere is that more evident than in our initiatives, including a Women's Initiative, which is focused on women empowering each other to succeed. Internally that means attracting, retaining and promoting women, while externally it means being a market leader and championing women in business.”
Darleen Armour, senior vice president, FMV Opinions, Inc. and the chair of the ACG-OC Women in Leadership Initiative, added, “At ACG-OC we continue to offer regular, exceptional networking opportunities and personal development not only for our women members, but for all business women in Orange County.”
