Dacoit Ratnakar was asked by the saint, ‘Will your family members share the burdens of your sins?’. Ratnakar believed every one of his family members will willingly share the burdens as he was committing sin for their welfare only. The saint insisted on Ratnakar asking his family members if they were actually willing to share the burden. To his shock and dismay, Dacoit Ratnakar realises none of them were willing to share the burden of his sins.
Dacoit Ratnakar got transformed into Saint Walmiki. He wrote the great indian epic, Ramayan.
If the question was not asked by the saint to Dacoit Ratnakar, the dacoit would have never become a saint. The world would have lost a great poet. Questions are indeed powerful, isn’t it?
A big payment was ready with Madras Refineries Ltd. I was working as a manager in Shivmoni & Co. I was lazy. I postponed the visit by a day even when I knew the payment was needed at office. When my boss, who stayed in Kolkatta, called…I lazily said, ‘I will go tomorrow.’ There was no regret in my voice. He got very upset with my carelessness and asked me, ‘If this was your own office, would you have done the same?’
That was the last day, anyone ever had to point a finger at me for my carelessness. After that, where ever I worked, I gave my 100%. Never ever anyone could complain about my work ethics. I worked everywhere as if it was indeed ‘my office’. If that question was not asked, I would have remained a mediocre performer. Today, I excel in everything that I do. Questions are indeed powerful.
Has anyone ever got a solution without asking a Question?
Right questions give right direction to life, isn’t it?
Only those people who ask questions discover insights, isn’t it?
The five W’s (who, why, what, when and where) and a H (how) are a human beings best friends, right?
Many were thrown out of the train. When it happened to him, he asked himself this question, ‘Should I be silent or should I raise my voice against this discrimination?’
