WHO: “We are honored to participate in National Adopt a Shelter Dog Month,” said Sherwin Daryani, executive director of Operation Kindness. “We currently have 125 dogs and puppies that are looking for a forever home – a place where they will be loved and cared for – and we want to do everything we can to help them get there.”

DETAILS: During the month of October, Operation Kindness will offer a 25% discount on all canine adoptions. Fees are regularly $160 for adult dogs and $185 for puppies under one year. In addition, all canine adoptions will come with a free leash, a microchip ID and lifetime registration, an Operation Kindness ID tag, a $25 coupon to Pet Supplies Plus and educational materials on pet care.
HISTORY OF OPERATION KINDNESS: Founded in 1976, Operation Kindness is the oldest and largest no-kill shelter in North Texas. Its mission is to care for homeless cats and dogs in a no-kill environment until each is adopted into responsible homes and to advocate humane values and behavior. Operation Kindness has saved nearly 70,000 animals since its inception. Operation Kindness cares for an average of 200-250 animals on a day-to-day basis, with another 60-80 animals in foster homes.
