DETAILS: During the month of October, Operation Kindness will offer a 25% discount on all canine adoptions. Fees are regularly $160 for adult dogs and $185 for puppies under one year. In addition, all canine adoptions will come with a free leash, a microchip ID and lifetime registration, an Operation Kindness ID tag, a $25 coupon to Pet Supplies Plus and educational materials on pet care.
HISTORY OF OPERATION KINDNESS: Founded in 1976, Operation Kindness is the oldest and largest no-kill shelter in North Texas. Its mission is to care for homeless cats and dogs in a no-kill environment until each is adopted into responsible homes and to advocate humane values and behavior.
