Victorious start to Bedales Prep sports season

PRLog (Press Release) - Oct. 9, 2012 - The autumn sports season at Bedales Prep, Dunhurst, started impressively with a tournament win for the boys’ football U11A team beating five other sides (Mayville, Sherborne House, Sherfield, Steep and Ditcham Park) in the Wessex League seven a side tournament.

In other football fixtures, the U13, A, B and C sides all won their matches against Haslemere Prep. The U13A team beat Box Hill 8-3 in their most recent match. The B team also scored a victory against Churchers.

Girls’ netball has started well, with the U13A team beating Duke of Kent School and the U12B team beating Prebendal.  In Hockey, the U13 team beat Frensham Heights 6-3.

Commenting on the sports victories, Jane Grubb, Head of Dunhurst, said, “The results are a fantastic start to what promises to be a busy and successful sporting season. We have a large number of talented pupils playing competitively for Dunhurst; with six matches and one tournament already under our belt, we are in great shape. There is a fantastic combination of teaching talent and facilities for pupils to pursue their sporting interests, grow in confidence and really excel at their chosen sport.”
