MPA claims that their new process bypasses HR, Talent Acquisition and other potential “Gatekeepers.”
MPA President Marsha McKim explains that there are usually one of two scenarios involved when resumes of even highly qualified candidates are discarded or ignored. The first is that many large employers are utilizing software programs to screen what is sometimes thousands of resumes received each week. The margin for error in these programs is substantial. The second scenario is that resumes received from on line postings typically go to HR or Talent Acquisition. They too are often overwhelmed by the volume of resumes. In addition, HR may be less invested in filling open jobs than the actual managers of the Departments (the “Decision Makers”). The Decision Makers are the ones whose day to day life is being affected because a particular role is still open; yet unfortunately the resumes of qualified candidates sometimes are never filtered down (or up) to them. “When we are able to get a qualified candidate’s resume into the hands of those Managers, things often start happening!”
Although most outside staffing agencies typically charge corporate clients hefty commissions ranging from 25% to 30% of the first year’s base salary, MPA is charging zero placement fees for candidates who are presented to employers through VIP Resume Marketing and subsequently hired. Marsha McKim, President of MPA and creator of VIP Resume Marketing, said “This is our way of “giving back.” After 16 years in the Staffing Industry, we are happy to step back from our normal fees if it puts deserving people back to work.” Marsha added that she “hopes waiving their typical fees will make the job seekers they represent even MORE attractive to potential employers.
MPA’s new VIP Resume Marketing does not guarantee the candidate a job or even an interview. What job seekers are buying is the peace of mind of knowing that their resume was not deleted by a software program or an entry level clerk. They will have proof that their resume was delivered to the true decision maker in their target organization…
