AAC ID Solutions RFID Wristbands used at the Bond University Open Day

Bond University on Australia’s Gold Coast embarked on a cutting edge plan for their 2012 Open Day; to create a seamless registration system utilising RFID wristbands from AAC ID Solutions.

Oct. 8, 2012 - PRLog -- The purpose of an Open Day is for Universities to attract future intakes of students and to present the University as one that can meet their educational and social needs. Bond University is a leading Australian University, and their 2012 Open Day reflected this.

Visitors were all provided with a unique RFID Wristband on arrival, encoded specifically for them. By scanning this wristband at different faculties, they expressed their interest in specific courses and subjects – an activity that was relayed back to Bond University for future action. There was no need for pens, clipboards and endlessly entering visitor details; one scan and the expression of interest was recorded.

Additionally, photo’s were taken and uploaded automatically to Bond University and Faculty Facebook pages, again via the simple scan of an RFID Wristband.

Stuart Blott, General Manager of AAC ID Solutions said “We have worked with Bond University for several years now, and supplying these Australian Made RFID Wristbands was another positive initiative. It’s an exciting technology and has many potential uses at events, festivals and venues, especially now that it is cost effective to implement”.
