Premiere total event planning and production company Mathis3 Entertainment, officially announced earlier today that Mathis3 will be producing the Tuskegee University 2012 Homecoming events taking place October 14th-October 20th. The highly anticipated celebration is affectionately titled “The Truth”! This year’s moniker was defined by the student body as Transcending the rebirth of an unforgettable Tuskegee Homecoming. The decision to team up with Mathis3 Entertainment came after careful consideration of the company’s high profile client portfolio, excellent client reviews, esteemed referrals of the company’s professionalism and long term success in the events and production industry.

When asked, CEO and founder of Mathis 3 Entertainment and fellow TU alumnus Richard Mathis III about his feelings on being behind the production of TU’s homecoming he stated, "I could not be more excited to produce what will be the best homecoming in TU history! TU shaped my love and passion for music and gave me the tools to be successful in the vast entertainment industry, this opportunity is truly an honor and I hope to inspire more alumni and future alumni to continue giving back to our foundation at Tuskegee University, a foundation that has been so generous to us through the gift of invaluable knowledge, memories and experiences that will last a lifetime.”  

The lineup for the week is nothing short of extraordinary, packed full of events and performances, boasting names like international Maybach Music recording star Wale, Former BET 106th and Park host Free who will host the Greek step show, the BET Music Matters tour, Gospel music recording artist Byron Cage, renowned musical production Tears of a Rose, the TU fashion show and more. This year’s homecoming is set to be a glimpse behind the velvet rope for TU students, young and mature alumni and the entire city of Tuskegee, AL.

Traditionally Historically Black College and University homecomings are celebrations full of love, soul, life and accomplishment between a close knit band of brothers and sisters. It is a monumental moment in time that is carefully woven into the very essence and fabric of all that have ever graced the yard of an HBCU. HBCU homecomings are a time where the old celebrate with the young and an unspoken message of love and respect for tradition is in the air.
