2012 North Bay Investor Summit Fuels Start-Ups at Sonoma Raceway

Oct. 8, 2012 - PRLog -- The North Bay iHub, the North Bay Angels, and the Keiretsu Forum are pleased to announce the 4th annual North Bay Investor Summit (NBIS) this October 30th.  Over the past three years, companies participating in the NBIS have raised over $9 million, securing essential capital to create high-paying employment opportunities in the North Bay and the Greater Bay Area.

The 2012 NBIS will continue in the theme of “Cars, Cabernet, and Cash” developed so successfully over the past two years, but take it to a whole new level:  this year, the event will be held at Sonoma Raceway.  Attendees will not only enjoy an exotic car expo and fine cabernets from a selection of local wineries, but will also be able to sign up for “hot laps” around the Sonoma track with a professional driver.  Space is limited to 120 accredited investors, representing both angels and venture capital.  

The core of the event resides in the “Cash” element of the theme.  Ten high-quality start-ups will pitch their businesses and investment offerings to the audience of investors.  “The ability to attract funding is critical for start-ups,” says J. Roy Martinez, Interim Executive Director of the North Bay iHub and current Chair of the North Bay Angels.  “Providing entrepreneurs with an opportunity to take their case directly to investors is one of the most important things we do.  We are tremendously excited about the partnership with Sonoma Raceway and its potential to draw even more attention to the 2012 NBIS.”
