About the Author: Lionel Perez has written many short stories and a novel. He is a retired drama and art teacher, and has been the producer and director of local theater productions. He lives in Gibraltar and was influenced “by the fact that the Rock of Gibraltar is surrounded by the sea.” This is the first in a series of children’s books that he related as bedtime stories to his daughter, and was later encouraged by her to write.
