A major event in the licensing industry, Brand Licensing Europe will be held at the Olympia exhibition centre in central London (UK) from 16 to 18 October 2012. In 2011, this leading trade show hit a record attendance with 7,430 visitors, a rise of 22% on 2010.
A delegation of 10 French companies will be at the trade fair, sharing an 84m² pavilion (Stand D130) organised by UBIFRANCE, the French export-support agency, and supported by F2D2, the French Licensing Federation. The companies are listed below; further information is available on request.
Alphanim’s Licensing & Marketing Department develops and manages brand-licensing and merchandising programmes for both fully owned and third-party brands. Among other clients, Alphanim manages global rights to 50-year-old cartoon brand Calimero and represents US film studio The Jim Henson Company in French-speaking countries of Europe.
Rooted in urban culture since 2003, BESOMEONE is an original, creative and competitive urban- and street-wear fashion brand. Founded in 1987 for the French Open tennis tournament, Roland-Garros Collection now has a much wider presence in Brazil, China and across Europe. The company has enhanced its image worldwide through its co-branded products, including Adidas, Peugeot and Swatch, and is now opening up to new categories of products.
A French household name for gifts, Teo Jasmin is launching its mascot, Teo Cherry, as an official licence. Although the bulldog mascot is already licensed in the stationery, interior-design, games, telecoms and gift fields, Teo Jasmin is looking to expand further the visibility of Teo Cherry.
Created in 2009, the French Licensing Federation (or F2D2) is the official body representing the French licensing industry. F2D2 is open to IP owners and licensing agents based (and conducting business) in the French-speaking countries and regions of Europe. F2D2 is also an established think tank and a trusted source of information for its members. Since 2011, F2D2 has been the organiser of the French Licensing Awards.
