Following shortly on from their recent Good Pig Award, pork and poultry farmers, Packington Free Range, were also finalists in the Local Food Producer of the Year category at the Taste of Staffordshire Good Food Awards 2012. Held annually to celebrate quality and distinctiveness in Staffordshire produced food and drink, Packington and fellow guests dined out on their success as the farm also supplied their award-winning free-range chicken as the main course at the gala dinner, served as Roast Breast of Packington Chicken with bubble and squeak potato roulade and apple jus.

) attended the prestigious event which played host to over 250 guests, members and industry award winners. Held at BEST WESTERN Stoke-on-Trent Moat House Hotel and hosted by regional broadcast journalist Janine Machin, the awards merited those recognised for their hard work and dedication in producing quality local food and drink.
