Follow on Google News | “Yellow Hill:The Stranger’s Tale” To Premiere At Milwaukee’s Lubar Theater November 10, 2012The Milwaukee Independent Film Society will be hosting the world premiere of “Yellow Hill: The Stranger’s Tale” at the Lubar Theater at 6:45 PM on Saturday, November 10.
The film opens with The Stranger (Bai Ling) travelling the barren west on a mission to find her father. Events conspire to lead her to the town of Rock Ridge, a town run by Taggert, the iron-fisted saloon owner. Here she finds hatred, prejudice, loss and, ultimately, revenge. This story depicts those events which ultimately shape the character which we will see in the feature film “Yellow Hill”. Bai Ling is very excited to introduce this story to the public. “This is a part of history that has never been told on screen.” says Ling. “People need to acknowledge and remember that history. As a Chinese person” Ling continues, “I feel responsible (to tell this story). With my heart as an actress I feel I have the power and voice to tell that story.” Bai Ling will be in Milwaukee attending the premiere and will be part of the Q&A following the movie.
