National Academy of Osteopathy (NAO) offers a 4 months diploma program in manual osteopathy. Manual osteopaths treat a wide range of musculoskeletal disorders. There is zero unemployment and all graduates find employment. The average salary of manual osteopaths is $30 per hour. High school diploma is the requirement to enter into this program. Tuition is $5026 plus HST. Many scholarships are available for selected students.
National Academy of Osteopathy students, upon graduation are eligible to sit for the board exams administered by the Canadian Manual Osteopathy Examining Board (CMOEB). Upon successful passing of the board they are eligible to apply for a license number with International Osteopathic Association (IOA) to practice manual osteopathy and to bill insurers.
With a license number from International Osteopathic Association graduates can work in rehab, physiotherapy, chiropractic, medical or massage clinics or open their own clinics. They are permitted to work in all Canadian provinces including Ontario, Quebec, Alberta and British Columbia. Over 95% of insurers in Canada pay for osteopathy treatments performed by NAO graduates.
