Oct. 6, 2012 - PRLog -- National Academy of Osteopathy (NAO) wishes to congratulate International Osteopathic association (IOA) on their persistent work towards getting manual osteopathy recognized by the insurance industry in Canada.

In its latest effort International Osteopathic Association was successful in getting the big Canadian insurers; Canadian Blue Cross, Great West Life of Canada and Desjardins Insurance to approve and cover manual osteopathy treatments when performed by members of International Osteopathic Association. Currently over 95% of insurers in Canada cover manual osteopathy treatments provided by IOA members.

National Academy of Osteopathy graduates are eligible to apply for membership to International Osteopathic Association (www.internationalosteopathicassociation.org) once NAO students passed the board exams administered by the Canadian Manual Osteopathy Examining Board (www.cmoeb.org).

With a license number from IOA, our graduates are able to open their own clinics or work as employees of other clinics.
