"I am personally dedicating and contributing my time and self to LA AIDS Walk Los Angeles for a number of reasons. I have been affected by this disease having lost a number of close friends, as well as know others who are currently infected with HIV or AIDS. These people are not just friends but my extended family. They have taught me they are not dying from AIDS but living with it. They have a right to not only medical treatment but a better chance at living a full life." said Heathyr Wolfe, team leader of Diversity News 3960.
Since 2003, Diversity News Team #3960 has been recruiting members to walk the 10k (6.2 mile) main event and raise money for AIDS Walk LA, benefiting AIDS Project Los Angeles and other non-profit organizations in Los Angeles County.
"Recently we have made huge leaps in HIV/AIDS medical fields having the first man ever to be 100% cured from HIV. Every moment of our time is precious in creating this as a reality for everyone affected by this disease. By joining AIDS Walk LA I hope to make that a reality." Ms Wolfe concluded.
Diversity News Publications is always looking for ways to give back to the community. A wonderful way to do this is by participating in AIDS WALK Los Angeles, benefiting AIDS Project Los Angeles and other nonprofit community organizations. AIDS Walk LA is Sunday, October 14, 2012. You can still register or make a donation online for the 28th Annual AIDS Walk Los Angeles by visiting http://www.aidswalk.net/
