SPARTANBURG, S.C. — Bill Spigener, CEO of AgSouth Farm Credit, is pleased to announce that Wesley (Wes) D. Sutton has joined their team as General Counsel and will be located in the Spartanburg Administrative office located at 101 Northtown Drive, Spartanburg, SC.
“Mr. Sutton will be a great resource for the board and staff and having a general counsel on staff will be a tremendous asset to our organization,”
said Spigener. He continued by saying, “Sutton’s experience and counsel will greatly benefit the Association. Sutton has provided legal counsel to other institutions within the Farm Credit system over the past 10 years and has a wealth of experience with consumer lending law. The entire staff of AgSouth looks forward to working with Mr. Sutton.”
Mr. Sutton earned his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Erskine College. Mr. Sutton was previously employed with AgFirst Farm Credit Bank in Columbia, South Carolina, most recently serving as Assistant General Counsel. Mr. Sutton is a member of the South Carolina Bar, the American Bar Association and the Association of Corporate Counsel.
