Franklin Cabrera Gloves
Sometimes the smallest change can lead to greatness. Last year Miguel Cabrera’s agent contacted Franklin Sports about working with the brand. Cabrera was unhappy with the quality of his current batting gloves and stated to his agent, “I want to be hooked up with the company that makes the best gloves, and that company is Franklin.” The rest is history.
“Miguel is a guy that truly plays for the love of the game. Every time you see him he has a smile on his face and he plays like every pro should, like a kid playing little league ball. We couldn't be more proud to have Miguel wearing our batting gloves and be a part of the Franklin team,” shares John Ballas, Franklin’s Head of Player Relations and Cabrera’s day-to-day contact.
In addition, the Detroit Tigers nominated Cabrera for the Roberto Clemente award, which honors the MLB player who best represents baseball on and off the field. Cabrera has a history of service in the community and recently launched the Miguel Cabrera Foundation, which gives back to various children’s charities.
In alignment with Cabrera’s off-field efforts, Franklin Sports announces two auctions to win a pair of Miguel Cabrera’s autographed batting gloves AND the ability to customize your own CFX Pro Batting Glove in any size/color combination wanted. The winner receives six pairs of the custom designed batting glove, plus the autographed Cabrera pair. Proceeds benefit The Miguel Cabrera Foundation and Boys & Girls Club of America.
