The three-day Hindu Auto Expo kick-starts at Chennai Trade Centre today
The Hindu Auto Expo 2012 is back with a showcase of a wide spectrum of automobile options from the world's top brands.
The second edition of The Hindu's ‘Auto Expo 2011' showcased twelve top brands and featured 20 stalls of leading Indian, German, Korean and American car manufacturers. Luxury, vintage cars and accessories were on display. The expo featured brands such as BMW, Audi, Tata Motors, Ford India, Volkswagen, Honda, Toyota, Renault, Nissan, Hyundai, Skoda and Hyosung. Bosch car wash, Pidilite, Moto mall and Arcus Auto Accessories fromd the accessory industry taking part in the expo, which was inaugurated by KM Mammen, Chairman and Managing Director, MRF.
The special pavilion for vintage cars displayed models such as Bug 8 1947, Austin Chummy 1926, Rover 1947, Plymouth PJ Series 1935, Bug Fiat 500A 1935, Morris Minor 1951, Plymouth Savoy 1956, Austin 8 1947, Fiat Topolino 1952, Jaguar 1966, MG 1953, Studebaker 1957 and the Morris 1000. The Luxury Pavilion also showcased Porsche Panamera.
