Canadian Drivers Love Chrysler Vehicles

In September 2012, 19,555 Chrysler vehicles, including the Dodge, Ram, Jeep, Chrysler, and Fiat names, experienced a 2% increase from last year, resulting in the automaker’s highest September sales totals since 2000. Chrysler has seen gradual increases in its popularity in Canada over the past several years. Currently, the Ram pickup is the 2nd best selling vehicle in Canada, and the Dodge Grand Caravan is the 4th. On top of that, Chrysler is the top seller of mid-sized vehicles in Canada, combing the sales numbers of the Chrysler 200 and the Dodge Avenger. The Wrangler has also seen a great sales increase, with an incredible 14% climb since last September.

Canadian drivers are looking for better vehicle economy, and Chrysler vehicles are able to deliver that. Dave Buckingham, COO for Chrysler Canada said “Fuel efficient vehicles like the Dodge Dart and FIAT 500 helped grow our passenger car sales by 36% in September.”

The popularity of the Dodge Journey can be attributed to customers’ desire for a well-designed, spacious crossover. When properly equipped, the Journey can fit up to seven passengers while still maintaining a body style that is not bulky. The Journey features options like Bluetooth connectivity, a navigational system, and ambient lighting. It’s no surprise that its sales have increased an incredible 48% over the past year.
