The First Ever Reality TV Show for Africans-Caribbeans, British or People with Afro-Caribbean Interest.
THE ROOT is the first ever reality TV show for Africans, Caribbean’s or British with Afro-Caribbean origin or interest.
It involves 11 contestants living together for one weeks under the same roof, as well as carrying out challenging and charitable tasks both within and outside the house.
The main purpose of THE ROOT is to search, select, test, entertain and discover a role model to pioneer the following major Afro-Caribbean or societal issues;
· DISCOVERING A LEADING CAMPAIGNER TO STAND AGAINST GANGS, KNIVES, GUNS, DRUGS AND VIOLENT CRIMES AFFECT YOUTHS.
· TO BUILD A POSITIVE ROLE MODEL IN THE EYES OF THE YOUNG ADULTS.
· A LEADING CAMPAIGNER TO CREATE MORE AWARENESS FOR AFRICANS AND CARIBBEANS TO PARTICIPATE MORE IN ORGAN DONATIONS.
· TO PRODUCE A WINNER THAT WILL TRAVEL AROUND AFRICAN AND CARIBBEAN COUNTRIES TO BRIDGE THE GAP THAT PRESENTLY EXIST AMONGST AFRICANS, CARIBBEANS AND THE REST OF THE WORLD POSITIVELY, THEREBY RESULTING IN GREATER REVENUE GENERATION FROM TOURISM AND TRADE.
· TO CREATE A FACE OF AFRO-CARIBBEAN THAT WILL WORK EFFECTIVELY WITH MAJOR CHARITIES BOTH IN UK AND THE REST OF THE WORLD.
THE ROOT will be aired in over 50 African and Caribbean countries as well as the UK.
