27 Miles Malibu Launches a Laid-Back Luxe Collection of Fashions and Accessories Inspired by Malibu

A busy entrepreneur and designer with over a decade of experience, Katharine Marinaro, co-founder and creative director for 27 Miles Malibu wanted to create a collection that combined versatile trend-driven basics juxtaposed with stylish pieces for evening that have a rock-n-roll vibe.  Inspired by Malibu’s laid-back luxe style, the line includes casual basics like scoop neck and bat sleeve Tencel tees, as well as curve-complementing lace leggings and silk moto jackets inspired by the 60’s and 80’s but interpreted with a modern edge and flair.  

The 27 Miles Malibu collection includes an assorted, but cohesive line of fashions and accessories made from fine fabrics like silk, cashmere and velvet.  Through the use of flowy, asymmetrical silhouettes, mixed materials and meticulous craftsmanship, 27 Miles Malibu offers pieces with a distinctive versatility that can be mixed and matched with existing wardrobe pieces to reflect their wearers’ personal style and taste.  “While comfort and functionality are key, we strive to introduce innovative, new silhouettes that will be coveted by those with a bohemian style, as well as those with a trend-forward sensibility,” says Katharine. Although the collection includes lots of black, animal-print and charcoals; color is injected in the form of rich burgundy, cobalt blue and organic greens.
