Founders of Online Marketing and Consulting Participate in Leadership Program

Oct. 4, 2012 - PRLog -- Huntersville, NC--Mike Murphy and Velvet Nelson, founders of Online Marketing and Consulting, have been accepted into the 16th Annual Leadership Lake Norman program.  The Leadership Lake Norman program is sponsored by the Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce which represents local businesses in Huntersville, Cornelius, and Davidson.  It provides an opportunity for local business leaders to network and learn more about getting involved in the community.

The eight month program gives participants the opportunity to network with 20 other class participants, tour local facilities that are the heart of the Lake Norman area, and learn more about the history of this area.  Each month, the class will focus on a specific topic including: History; Education; Economic Development; Government; Healthcare; Community Infrastructure; and Travel & Tourism.

The Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce celebrates its 25th anniversary this year and boasts over 1000 business memberships.  The Chamber is responsible for various programs and events throughout the Lake Norman area including Business After Hours, ribbon cutting ceremonies, golf tournaments, and speed networking events.  The Chamber is an advocate for small business and promotes economic development through North Mecklenburg County.
