Ms. Wood and Mr. Payne will be officially installed to the EMA Board of Directors during the 16th Annual Fall Meeting’s Membership Meeting on October 26, 2012 at The Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel in Santa Monica, CA.
About Allison Wood, Hunton & Williams
Allison Wood is a Partner for the law firm of Hunton & Williams in Washington, DC. Ms. Wood’s practice focuses on environmental and administrative law, with an emphasis on air issues, including global climate change, emissions trading, the establishment and implementation of national ambient air quality standards, and general and transportation conformity. Ms. Wood has experience in appellate and district court litigation, agency rulemakings, compliance advice, and legislative representation. Representative clients include companies and trade associations in the electric generation industry, manufacturing industries, and transportation and land development industries. Ms. Wood is the current Chairman of the Environmental Markets Association Board of Directors.
About Gary Payne, Dominion
Gary Payne is a Manager of Environmental Trading at Dominion. Mr. Payne has over 17 years of experience in the energy trading industry with 12 years of experience trading in the environmental markets including the EPA allowance markets, RGGI allowance market, PJM and NEPOOL REC markets, and ERC and off-set markets. Prior to joining Dominion, Mr. Payne held positions in emissions and energy trading at Aquila Energy, Kansas City, Missouri, and Koch Energy Trading, Houston Texas. Mr. Payne also worked in energy marketing for Illinova Power marketing in Salt lake City, Utah. Mr. Payne holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Brigham Young University, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Utah, Salt Lake City. Mr. Payne is the former Chairman of the Environmental Markets Association Board of Directors.
