PRLog - Oct. 4, 2012 - ORLAND PARK, Ill. -- The sales professionals at Community Honda in Orland Park are pleased to announce that Honda’s all-new 2013 Accord will be available for Orland Park area drivers later this fall! After a long wait, Honda’s critically acclaimed midsize sedan will be getting a complete makeover. This newest model will feature changes in style, powertrain capabilities, and cabin design to accommodate the modern driver, as well as to compete with the likes of the Kia Optima, the Hyundai Sonata, and the Toyota Camry.

Notably, Honda will be making the 2013 Accord available both as a sedan and a coupe. While other automakers have been opting out of the mid-size coupe market in favor of fleshing out their compact vehicles, the 2013 Accord Coupe will be a design statement in its own right. Promised to feature sharper lines and a bolder fascia, the Coupe model will be smaller, lighter, and more luxurious than ever before.
However the Accord’s bigger news for consumers comes from under the hood. The 2013 model is expected to feature the same 2.4L 4-cylinder engine as its most recent predecessor, however it will get a big upgrade in efficiency from a new CVT (continuously variable transmission)
Even more exciting, however, is the advent of Honda’s new plug-in hybrid system, which is set debut on the 2013 Accord Sedan. First unveiled at the 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show, Honda’s electric hybrid model will utilize a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine working in tandem with an electric motor capable of 161 hp. The 6 kWh lithium-ion battery will allow drivers to travel upwards of 15 miles using no gasoline at all, and will be rechargeable in less than four hours using only a standard 120V outlet.
A new HondaLink infotainment system will be the centerpiece of the driver experience. Designed to integrate internet social networking, audio streaming, and web-server-based entertainment into the audio hub, HondaLink will allow iPhone and Android users to take advantage of their applications like never before.
With the 2013 Honda Accord expected to arrive at Community Honda in just a few months, Illinois drivers can contact their dealership for more information on Honda’s newest innovation.
