The new Sentra compact sedan has undergone a redesign that’s increased its size slightly and improved its trunk space, but lowered its weight by 5 percent. Under the hood, the sedan features a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine rated at 130 horsepower and 128-pound-feet of torque.
The new engine offers a 13 percent improvement in gas mileage over previous models of the Sentra, rating 34 mpg in combined city/highway driving.
The 2013 Sentra sedan will start at $16,770, which is $260 less than the cost of the current base model.
