TWC has secured an undisclosed minority stake in the independent film company that includes critical decision-making on project acquisition and casting direction. Alliance management will be the responsibility of newly appointed casting director, Kamryn Adams. Adams, who will serve as a shared resource between the companies will also assume responsibility as acquisitions editor.
TWC principal had this to say: “The foundation of strategic marketing starts with a great project. It was critical that this partnership include shared project selection and creative direction. We, at Toyi Ward Communications, are delighted that Wiseguy was aligned with us on this notion.”
The partnership will begin with the upcoming film, “Young Ones”, a gritty and painfully transparent look into the realities of inner-city adolescence. The film is set to be released in late 2013. Social Media marketing efforts are underway.
Wiseguy Filmworks creates and packages a unique line of urban entertainment products including fast-paced, independent action films in the $100,000 to $1,000,000 range. The company also offers producer representation and independent casting direction as services to industry stakeholders.
