Spanish Wines: Enjoy the Taste of Autumn

The arrival of the first colds takes us closer to a more elaborate cuisine, enriched with abundant seasonal produce. And what better to accompany these dishes with wines to match the circumstances.

PRLog - Oct. 4, 2012 - VALENCIA, Spain -- The end of summer inevitably involves a substantial change in the pace of life and daily habits. It also affects how could it be otherwise, in our diet. But the cyclical nature of the seasons makes the fall not necessarily synonymous with sadness, but with hope.  It does not mean farewell or resignation, but welcome and acceptance. The arrival of the first colds takes us closer to a more elaborate cuisine, enriched with abundant seasonal produce. And what better to accompany these dishes with wines to match the circumstances.
Wine is a food that brews over the summer months and whose vintage, depends on the type of grapes, weather conditions and the production area which coincide with this wonderful season. So what better than a good wine for a true taste of the Fall?
At  www.vinoole.com  we have a great selection of wines that, in line with the typical products of the autumn kitchen, embody the spirit of this time of year.
When a dish has mushrooms as an accompanying dish as representative as are mushrooms, full of enological wealth, although we should be alert to the scents and aromas as a starting point to find the desired harmony in the bottle. Experts are betting on barrel-fermented whites, sparkling and fruity red structured rather light. Wines such as Castillo de Monjardín Chardonnay or an Palacio de la Vega Blanco, both from the  D.O. Navarra región marínate to perfection. Enjoy your mycological recipies with a botlle of Peñas negras Joven, from the  D.O. Utiel-Requena region, o with Efe as an alternative from the, D.O. Valencia our hometown, are examples of red wines which serve as great examples of aromas and soft textures.
Hunting and breeding meat (pork, lamb, veal) take on a leading role in the fall, providing strong savory stews and casseroles. A distinction between birds or other lighter types of meat, and big game. Connoisseurs claim that the first link matches specially well with vintage reds know as Crianza o Gran Reserva in Spanish wines.  We recommend the wines from the DO Rioja Granja Ntra. Sra. Remelluri Reserva, Pueblo Viejo Reserva,  Martínez Lacuesta Reserva, Lan Gran Reserva or an excellent bottle of Murua Gran Reserva are an excellent choice which prove to be much more than satisfying.
The big game meats (boar, deer, deer, etc..) Requires wines of a stronger caliber. Wines frm the Riebra del Duero region offers endless possibilities of such wines. Astrales Crianza, Arzuaga Crianza and Fuentespina Reserva, for example, guarantee a wonderful experience.
When we are selecting wine to accompany dishes of fish, Galicia provides accurate and prestigious wines, however we would like to emphasize on wines such as Murviedro Blanco y el Daniel Belda Crianza Chardonnay, both from the D.O. Valencia region.
Finally, soups, accompanied by a selection of seasonal vegetables claim the young reds with a comforting tone or with a very short wood aroma to maintain and exalt the fruity flavor in contrast to these dishes taste irrefutable. Stews, meat with larger presence allows us to venture into a territory of more consistency. This suggest exploring the possibilities of wines coming from the Toro and Priorat regions of Spain. Colegiata Joven , Gran Cermeño Crianza would go best with soups. Camins del Priorat y Cims de Porrera would be great choices to accompany with the second dishes.
