Oct. 4, 2012 - Park Hyatt Seoul’s main restaurant, Cornerstone, presents premium pine mushroom dishes from October 8 to 21. Grown under aged pine trees to get nutrients from root uptake, natural pine mushrooms have a distinctive flavour, a chewy texture, and an aroma of pine resin, and are one of the best autumn delicacies.
Only available for two weeks from early October, which is the peak season for pine mushrooms, Cornerstone’
s special menus include Grilled Pine Mushroom with Baked Ricotta Cheese and Dried Tomatoes, King Crab Salad with Pine Mushroom, Rucola and Truffle Dressing, Pine Mushroom Soup with Sour Dough Bread, Home-Made Pine Mushroom Linguine, Pine Mushroom Casserole with Herbs, Shallot and Chestnuts, Bio Korean Beef Tenderloin with Pine Mushroom, and Sea Bass Fillet with Pine Mushroom Sauce. On October 17(Wednesday)
, a cooking class featuring various pine mushroom dishes will be presented by newly appointed Executive Chef Massimilano Ziano. Reservations must be made in advance, as the class is limited to ten people.
Renowned as the finest of all domestic mushrooms, the pine mushroom contains a considerable amount of minerals and vitamins B and D, and is proven to be highly effective in reducing cholesterol, stimulating blood circulation, preventing various adult diseases and suppressing cancer.
