Hansons Windows To Change Colors to Pink In Support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Pink signs will appear on customers’ lawns as a show of support

Oct. 3, 2012 - PRLog -- DETROIT, MI – Hansons Windows customers will be planting pink lawn signs in front of their homes during the month of October as a show of support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The new signs, sporting Hansons’ familiar logo in pink instead of the traditional orange and blue, have already begun appearing on front lawns of the company’s most recent happy customers.

Hansons ordered the pink signs in anticipation of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is recognized every October.

“This is a very important cause for us,” president Brian Elias said. “We have done walks and other events to support the fight, but this is a great way for us to proudly show our commitment in a more visible way.”

For the month of October, Hansons Windows’ Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/1800Hansons) will display photos of customers standing proudly next to their pink lawn signs as another way to bring awareness.

Elias founded Hansons Windows, known also as 1-800-HANSONS, in 1988. A self-made entrepreneur, Elias started by selling the leads he canvassed door-to-door. As Hansons approaches its 25th anniversary, it has become one of the home improvement industry’s largest companies. In 2011, Hansons generated $46 million in sales, offering replacement windows, siding, roofing, gutters, doors and insulation.
