Taking Los Angeles by the curves - Curvy Yoga

Nov. 4, 2012 - PRLog -- Thea Pueschel of Hazel Blue Studios and Hypnotiq Solutions is taking Los Angeles by the curves. Not Mulholland Drive or Highway 1 but by bringing the first and only Certified Curvy Yoga class to Los Angeles. After a successful trial run in October Thea Pueschel is pleased to announce Curvy Yoga Tuesdays 6:30pm at Hazel Blue Studios 3058 ½ Glendale Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90039.

Too often, yoga is represented as something that is only for pretzel-like people, not people who want to move their body in a safe and supportive environment. Curvy Yoga is here to make yoga available to people with bigger bodies as well as those who would like to practice in a non-competitive environment.

Curvy Yoga is an international organization founded by Anna Guest-Jelley. Thea Pueschel is a certified yoga teacher who has trained with Anna. Why did Thea want to bring Curvy Yoga to Los Angeles? Her response, “I am an atypical yogi living in an area that is very much a yoga metropolis but seemingly lacks classes that celebrate or explore body shape diversity. I learned by my own accord how to modify for my body; Curvy Yoga extended my modification vocabulary. I want to share the gift of movement and mindfulness.”

Curvy Yoga Classes promote body acceptance and practicing yoga with the body you have today. It is a wonderful class for brand new beginners as well as people who have been practicing for a while but haven’t yet found the community they’re looking for.

Weekly classes are $15 and are held Tuesdays 6:30pm at Hazel Blue Studios 3058 ½ Glendale Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90039.
