Novel set in Columbus, Indiana

PRLog (Press Release) - Oct. 2, 2012 - "Promise Road," a novel by Dee Armstrong Crabtree was released on October 1, 2012. Although Ms. Crabtree previously published four non-fiction books and numerous magazine articles, this book represents her first foray into fiction.

Set primarily in Columbus, Indiana during the turbulent 1960s and 70s, "Promise Road" focuses on a young girl growing up with a seriously sociopathic father and a bitter, narcissistic mother.  Her childhood experiences affect her throughout her life, sadly skewing her ability to differentiate between sane and insane behavior.  Emily often questions her own sanity as she later navigates through the difficulties of finding a healthy, stable relationship.

A lifelong Hoosier, Dee Armstrong Crabtree was born in Columbus, Indiana in 1956 and currently resides in Zionsville.   She studied journalism at Saint Mary of the Woods College and has been widely published since 1991.
