If connection of multiple remote USB devices, like mouse and keyboard, is required, MilesTek’s USB 2.0 over CAT5E/CAT6 Extender Balun 4-Port Hub is recommended.
Extending USB peripherals like computer keyboards, mouse or hard drives up to 100 meter / 330 feet away from the location of the computer can be accomplished easily with the USB UTP Extender/Hub. The USB UTP Extender/Hub signal is sent between the transmitter and receiver unit controls USB peripherals by buffering the USB signal through send and receive line drivers. The signal is extended using CAT5E/CAT6 cables.
Solid-gauge CAT5E/CAT6 cable must be used rather than standard pre-made stranded copper patch cords. The recommended length of USB cable between computer and transmitter is 1 ft. A USB 1 ft. cable is included with the set. MilesTek’s USB extenders are not compatible with some video streaming web cam and touch-screen overlay monitor applications.
