The Metro Police Bomb Squad, the Berwyn Heights Fire Department Rescue Squad and the CityCrawler Party Bus are just a few of the organizations and companies that will bring vehicles to the upcoming “World of Wheels for CASA” Touch a Truck and Family Festival. Touch a Trucks give children of all ages the opportunity to touch and explore work trucks and vehicles up close. A variety of local businesses and first responders in the area are all joining together to make this a fun-filled event and to raise funds for a worthy cause. Proceeds from the event will benefit Court Appointed Special Advocates/Prince George’s County (CASA) which trains volunteers to advocate for abused and neglected children in the Prince George’s County foster care system. “Over 400 children go through the foster care system each year in our county without someone dedicated to doing what is in their best interest” says Executive Director Ann Marie Binsner. “The World of Wheels for CASA will be a fun event for the community and will allow us to help more of those kids who are waiting for someone to stand up for them.” For more information about the World of Wheels, visit http://www.pgcasa.org/ End
