Richard Lewis is a graduate of U.S. Air Force Academy class of 1989, where he earned his degree in Computer Science. Now, with more than two decades of military and corporate leadership experience, Mr. Lewis has grown RTL Networks, Inc. into a highly awarded, multimillion dollar organization. Rich had this to say about the exhibit, “I could not have imagined receiving an award like this from my alma mater in a million years. The Air Force Academy was one of the most difficult and challenging experiences of my life, and although, I am the first to poke fun at the Academy because it was so tough; it helped prepare me for my ten year military career and for the corporate and entrepreneurial life that followed. It is my hope that this display will serve as a beacon of encouragement to today’s cadets and anyone else that sees it. I applaud the Air Force Academy for the vision to create such a display and I congratulate the other 27 honorees; with whom, I am humbled to be associated.”
On October 19, 2012, the Association of Graduates will hold a dedication ceremony for the Falcon Center with Dean of Faculty, Brigadier General Dana H. Born. The Falcon Center Heritage Exhibit is intended to showcase the accomplishments of Air Force Academy graduates and the growing USAF legacy and heritage. The Heritage Exhibit honors four graduates in each of seven categories: Noble Firsts, Air Force Chiefs of Staff, Academic Excellence, Excellence in Business, Military Excellence, Heroism, and Government Service.
