Members of the HU community--including faculty, donors, alumni, students and staff--as well as members of Harrisburg Young Professionals are invited to attend the event at 9 p.m., Wednesday, October 3rd, in the HU Auditorium or participate in the online option for off-campus. Attendees will answer online questions posed by HU faculty during the debate from their computers or cell phones, too.
An online option is available for K-12 students and educators, and residents of Dauphin, York, Lancaster-Lebanon and Cumberland counties. These groups can watch the debates at other locations offsite and complete the online poll, too. Participants will be able to see the poll results immediately in real time.
All attendees (both onsite and offsite) who wish to take part must register in advance by completing the online registration found at http://tinyurl.com/
This first debate focuses on domestic policy topics. Civic engagement and global awareness are two of the core competencies that HU students are expected to master.
