EDTS Doubles Up With National, Statewide Growth Honors

Oct. 1, 2012 - PRLog -- GREENVILLE, SC – October 1, 2012  – EDTS, a full-service technology consulting firm specializing in networking, security and managed services support solutions for Southeastern businesses, has been named by UBM Channel to the 2012 CRN Fast Growth 100  list. The annual list features the fastest-growing solution providers in the technology industry based on two years' growth of net sales from calendar year 2009 to calendar year 2011. EDTS grew 198.4 percent during the two-year period, ranking in the Top 25 performers nationally.

Simultaneously, EDTS was also named a winner in the Roaring Twenties rankings of South Carolina’s best-forming businesses with revenue less than $10 million annually.  Actual ranking of honorees will be announced at an event October 25th in Columbia.

Fast Growth 100 companies are considered some of the best and brightest of the technology channel — companies that have managed to fight strong economic headwinds to achieve impressive revenue growth over the past two years.

CRN's Top 25 Fast Growth list recognizes solution providers with extraordinary two-year growth rates. This year's companies brought in combined 2011 sales of $712 million, with average revenue of roughly $48 million.

To be eligible, companies must be headquartered in North America; founded before December 31, 2008; be an independent company; and have a primary business as an IT solution provider, not a vendor or distributor.

EDTS joined 13 other Upstate companies among the statewide Roaring Twenties winners, presented annually by SC Biz News in conjunction with Dixon Hughes Goodman, Wells Fargo, and the Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd, PA law firm.  

Twenty large and 20 small companies from across the state will be honored Oct. 25 at Embassy Suites Columbia — Greystone. Chris William, executive producer and moderator of Carolina Business Review, will serve as master of ceremonies.

All companies honored are headquartered in South Carolina. A formula that awarded points based on both dollar and percentage increases in revenue from 2010-2011 was used to level the playing field between companies within each category.
