Simultaneously, EDTS was also named a winner in the Roaring Twenties rankings of South Carolina’s best-forming businesses with revenue less than $10 million annually. Actual ranking of honorees will be announced at an event October 25th in Columbia.
Fast Growth 100 companies are considered some of the best and brightest of the technology channel — companies that have managed to fight strong economic headwinds to achieve impressive revenue growth over the past two years.
“Posting revenue growth of any sort is something to be proud of in the shadows of a recession," said Kelley Damore, VP, Editorial Director for UBM Channel. “But the companies on CRN's Fast Growth 100 list have experienced phenomenal increases in revenue over the past two years. Getting there is a combination of hard work and an ability to truly understand customers' needs. These companies represent the strength of the channel today and hope for a stronger tomorrow. We congratulate EDTS for continuing to grow and succeed.”
“These honors reinforce a growing national recognition of EDTS as an IT service provider that’s demonstrated expertise and is laser-focused on the needs of our customers,” said Charles Johnson, CEO of EDTS. "All of us at EDTS are proud to have earned these recognitions even as we work each day to keeping customer organizations running at the highest levels of performance and efficiency.”
CRN's Top 25 Fast Growth list recognizes solution providers with extraordinary two-year growth rates. This year's companies brought in combined 2011 sales of $712 million, with average revenue of roughly $48 million.
To be eligible, companies must be headquartered in North America; founded before December 31, 2008; be an independent company; and have a primary business as an IT solution provider, not a vendor or distributor.
EDTS joined 13 other Upstate companies among the statewide Roaring Twenties winners, presented annually by SC Biz News in conjunction with Dixon Hughes Goodman, Wells Fargo, and the Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd, PA law firm.
Twenty large and 20 small companies from across the state will be honored Oct. 25 at Embassy Suites Columbia — Greystone. Chris William, executive producer and moderator of Carolina Business Review, will serve as master of ceremonies.
All companies honored are headquartered in South Carolina. A formula that awarded points based on both dollar and percentage increases in revenue from 2010-2011 was used to level the playing field between companies within each category.
Founded in 1999, EDTS was recently named to the 2012 Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Companies in America for the third straight year, and has grown to a staff of nearly 50 professionals serving clients 24/7/365 across the Southeast from offices in Augusta, GA and Greenville, SC.
