Sees enthusiastic participation from Doctors and people from different walks of life
Agra, September 29, 2012: World Heart Day was observed in Agra by doctors and patients, coming together and joining hands, to encourage preventive healthcare and healthy lifestyle. The initiative was supported by Glenmark, the global integrated pharmaceuticals company.
The awareness rally from Raunkta to Kamla Rawat Hospital saw enthusiastic participation of distinguished physicians like Dr. Dr. C R Rawat, MD – Agra Heart Centre and people from different walks of life.
Apart from Agra, Glenmark is organising similar activities in over 10 cities across the country to mark World Heart Day. World Heart Day is globally held on the last Sunday of September each year to inform people about cardiovascular diseases, which are the biggest cause of death worldwide. The event also aims to promote preventative measures that reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases.
