Follow on Google News | 2012 International Conference features two Philadelphia PsychoanalystsThe International Society of Ethical Psychology and Psychiatry (ISEPP) announce featured speakers at their 2012 conference will include Philadelphia psychoanalysts Deborah Luepnitz and Laurel Silber.
By: ISEPP Dr. Silber is President of the Philadelphia Center for Psychoanalytic Education and a member of the faculty at the Institute of Graduate Clinical Psychology at Widener University and the Institute for Relational Psychoanalysis in Philadelphia. She is in private practice with children adolescents and their families. Her article “Ghostbusting Transgenerational Processes” is in press with Psychoanalytic Dialogues. She will be speaking on the importance of play as a psychotherapeutic method. Dr. Luepnitz is a member of the Clinical Faculty at the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. She is the author of Child Custody (1982), The Family Interpreted (1998) and Schopenhauer’ Dr. Luepnitz is the founder of Insight for All (IFA), a volunteer organization in Philadelphia which provides psychoanalysis to homeless individuals on a pro bono basis. She will be speaking on the healing power of relationship and psychoanalysis. The conference theme is Alternatives to Biological Psychiatry: Treatments That Work.
