Speaker DJ Eagle Bear Vanas Inspires College Grads in Colorado Springs

Oct. 1, 2012 - PRLog -- Colorado Springs, Colorado – 131 IntelliTec College students took to the stage at the Crowne Plaza on August 25th to receive their Associate of Occupational Studies degrees. Seven Student Excellence Awards were handed out after renowned public speaker D.J. ‘Eagle Bear’ Vanas of Native Discovery Inc. delivered his positive and inspiring speech.

A slide show presentation was shown displayed highlights of the graduates’ time at IntelliTec College in hopes that they look back on it with fond memories that they can forever carry with them. Dean of Students Dr. Randy Flynt says that “We really try to keep the focus on the students and their accomplishments. We want it to be all about them because it is about them.”

D.J. ‘Eagle Bear’ Vanas is a member of the Native American community and a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy who spoke in the spirit of a warrior and was well received by all present. Mr. Vanas talked about life and how, for each of these graduates, it’s about to change in the best way. He talked about what they had accomplished through their education, what it can do for them and what steps they can now take to move forward in life even more.

IntelliTec recognized seven of its graduates with a Student Excellence Award. Program supervisors and instructors from each program chose one student who demonstrated outstanding professionalism, teamwork and integrity, as well as maintained an excellent GPA and attendance record.
