Proceeds from the event will benefit Living Heart 2 Heart Foundation. Living Heart 2 Heart Foundation will be established to raise awareness about heart disease and cardiac arrest, provide basic life support and education with proper training to the local community through volunteers, while implementing regular health promotion activities in the community. Heart disease is the leading cause of death for people of most ethnicities in the United States, including African Americans, Hispanics, and whites. For American Indians or Alaska Natives and Asians or Pacific Islanders, heart disease is second only to cancer.

Written by Robert Harling, “Steel Magnolias” premiered off-Broadway in 1987 before being adapted into a motion picture starring Field, Roberts, Dolly Parton (Truvy), Shirley MacLaine (Ouiser), Olympia Dukakis (Clairee) and Daryl Hannah (Annelle). In 2005, a revival of the show opened at Broadway’s Lyceum Theatre and starred Christine Ebersole, Delta Burke, Rebecca Gayheart, Marsha Mason, Frances Sternhagen and Lily Rabe. The production closed after 136 performances.
