MICHAEL BEASLEY IS A RISING STAR!

They include “I Love You Phillip Morris” starring Jim Carrey and Ewen McGregor, “Survivor Type,” “Of Course,” and “Smoked.”

Michael had supporting roles and guest-starring appearances in several feature films and television shows in 2009. Some of the films were, the award-winning feature film, “Mississippi Damned” starring D.B. Woodside, “American Violet” starring Charles Dutton and Alfre Woodard, and “Road Trip 2 : Beer Pong.”  Michael had recurring appearances as “Mike Wilson,” in the CW's hit TV show “One Tree Hill.” He also guest-starred in Lifetime's hit TV shows “Army Wives” as “Sgt. Vance” and “Drop Dead Diva” as the “Jury Foreman.”

With such a hectic schedule, Michael still finds time to run his companies. He is the founder of Isis Ra Films (pronounced "Eye-sis Ray) a film production company, No More Tears, LLC., a graphic design and marketing company, and Xtremely Well a clothing apparel line.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Living Heart 2 Heart Foundation.  Living Heart 2 Heart Foundation will be established to raise awareness about heart disease and cardiac arrest, provide basic life support and education with proper training to the local community through volunteers, while implementing regular health promotion activities in the community. Heart disease is the leading cause of death for people of most ethnicities in the United States, including African Americans, Hispanics, and whites. For American Indians or Alaska Natives and Asians or Pacific Islanders, heart disease is second only to cancer.

“Steel Magnolias” chronicles the lives and friendship of six Louisiana-based women who congregate at Truvy’s beauty shop to ponder the mysteries of life and death, husbands and children and much more. Queen Latifah stars as ‘M’Lynn,’ with Condola Rashad playing her daughter, ‘Shelby.’ The roles were played by Sally Field and Julia Roberts, respectively, in the original 1989 film. The cast also features Alfre Woodard as ‘Ouiser,’ Phylicia Rashad as ‘Clairee,’ Jill Scott as ‘Truvy,’ Adepero Oduye as her assistant, ‘Annelle,’ and Michael Beasley as ‘Spud.’

Written by Robert Harling, “Steel Magnolias” premiered off-Broadway in 1987 before being adapted into a motion picture starring Field, Roberts, Dolly Parton (Truvy), Shirley MacLaine (Ouiser), Olympia Dukakis (Clairee) and Daryl Hannah (Annelle). In 2005, a revival of the show opened at Broadway’s Lyceum Theatre and starred Christine Ebersole, Delta Burke, Rebecca Gayheart, Marsha Mason, Frances Sternhagen and Lily Rabe. The production closed after 136 performances.
