French Sophistication with English Nonchalance
Kuwait 30/09/2012: Addressed to the modern woman who has a keen eye on elegance and creativity, and within a bouquet of vivid, classy designs, the prestigious French fashion house, Chloé presented its newest collection for Fall/Winter 2012-2013. The collection combined French sophistication with an English festival girl style for a carefree, sporty collection, available now at Chloé Boutique, in Al-Thuraya Mall, the home of Al Ostoura’s high-end monobrand stores.
With an eclectic and playful vibe, the collection is “about a poetic and charming way of putting things together, flirting with innocence from a place of strength,” says Chloé’s Creative Director Clare Waight Keller.
To meet a wider base of fashionistas, Chloé designed a fresh feminine collection with a cool sense through a number of silky laced jackets. The collection also features a variety of jogging pants, boyfriend culottes and silk scarf blouses, combining fluid Parisian chic with easy English attitude.
Outerwear finds its ease in British military parka constructions, notably jackets in padded and quilted cottons and silks, the hooded poncho and patchwork sheepskin coats. Quilting as a technique is played out in the traditional sense, but also in a heat embossed fluid version on modern Japanese fabrics.
With the eveningwear, Keller managed to balance the sophisticated with the sporty manifested with the “evening T-shirt” in lace with satin sleeves, and the ivory shirtdress with a lace skirt. Magnified off-white lace provided the foundation for a pearl-scattered story with appliqué lace flowers.
The soft color palette ranged between the classic black, white and red, on one hand, and the subdued and neutral colors, such as candy greens, dusty blues, tempered with camel and a dash of pink.
Since a collection is never complete without the accessories, Keller grounded the voluminous shapes in the collection with rounded pumps with cone heels or sandals adorned with oversized pearls.
Another Chloé sweetheart is the new Three-in-one Lucy, which is a modernist version of the Lucy bag, made in crocodile leather with a chain strap. Chloé also launched the oversized pochette, and leather handbags in vivid colors such as purple, apricot and blue.
To finish up the looks, Chloé matched the outfits with beautiful accessories, ranging from thin logo-ed belts to heart-shaped pendants hanging from metallic key-chains.
Boutique Chloé at Al Ostoura in Thuraya Mall promises to dress you up in cool attires while maintaining the classy look for the upcoming cold weather.
